How much will the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) cost me and how do I pay?

How much you pay will depend on whether on whether you are a full-time or part-time student in 2017:

    •    Full-time fee per period: $147.00

    •    Part-time fee per period: $80.00

The method of payment varies, depending on your status.

Australian citizens, eligible New Zealand citizens and permanent residents (humanitarian visa holders)required to pay the SSAF can choose to defer the payment and pay it later to the Australian Taxation Office (like HECS-HELP  and FEE-HELP) by lodging a separate Student Amenities Help (SA-HELP) form. Please note you can NOT defer your SSAF with a HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP form.

You must submit the SA-HELP form by the census date in order for your fees in that study period to defer.

    •    These forms can be submitted in the MY OFFER or MY FINANCES tab in eStudent by following the steps below:

    •    Step 1: Click on the 'Submit Commonwealth Assistance Form' heading.

    •    Step 2: Click on 'Enter New Form'. Highlighting the button for your current course.

    •    Step 3: Complete 'Request for SA HELP' form

Alternatively you can choose to pay your fees upfront to the University by the Payment Due Date each study period.

Non-eligible New Zealand citizens and Permanent Residents (non-Humanitarian visa holders)  must pay the fee upfront to the University.

You should pay your fees by the Due Date for a session to avoid late payment penalties but no later than the Census Date. Failure to pay your fees by that date may result in a fee sanction being loaded which means until the fees are paid you will not be able to access your results nor enrol in new units.
