Where can I get more information on referencing?

Question:

Where can I get more information on referencing?

Answer:

There are several sources for information about referencing.

The Library website has general information about referencing as well as style guides for all the main referencing styles. Check with your lecturer as the to style you should use in your assignment. You should look closely at the examples in these style guides and format your references to match the examples. On that page you will also see a link to a Learning Skills document 'An Introduction to Referencing' which you can print out or read online.

Learning Skills offers a range of free workshops on referencing and avoiding plagiarism. The workshop calendar gives the time and place of these workshops.

You can also ask for assistance at the Library Info Desk, from a Librarian or from a Learning Skills Adviser. Librarians are on the Info Desk from 9am to 7pm. Learning Skills Advisers are available on weekdays during session from 12 pm to 2 pm (from Week 3).
