Yes, the Skills Development page shows various resources to develop your academic language and literacy, including aspects such as critical thinking, academic writing and effective reading strategies. Learning Skills resources include:

    •    Learning Skills workshops for both undergraduate and postgraduate students

    •    Individual consultations for students are available at the Info Desk in the Library during Session (from Week 3 onward), from 12 pm to 2 pm every weekday. 

    •    Online consultations by email are available by clicking Ask a Learning Adviser on the Skills Development webpage.  

    •    StudyWISE is an online resource offering help in all areas of academic skills. It is available from the Learning Skills webpage or on your iLearn account under Student Support. 

 In addition, there are Academic Communication units that you can take, run by the faculties.
