I am an international student. How do I know if my application will succeed?

Question:

I am an international student. How do I know if my application will succeed?

Answer:

There are three main criteria, all of which must be satisfied in order to obtain an offer at Macquarie University:

1)  Academic qualifications

2)  English Language proficiency

3)  Course entry rank—this is is the decisive factor in whether you are made an offer in the course of your choice. It is explained below:

Each undergraduate course at Macquarie University has specific entry requirements determined by the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR).  Your ATAR is assessed by calculating a grade point average (GPA) based on all your high school results and subsequent post-secondary or tertiary education.  As an international student, you can calculate your ATAR equivalency using the ATAR score guide.

If you satisfy all three of the conditions above, you will be eligible for an offer to study at Macquarie University.
