I received a fail grade for one of my units. If I repeat the unit and receive a pass or a higher grade, will the fail grade disappear from my record?

Question:

Answer:

All the grades that you receive are shown on your Macquarie University official academic record. Therefore, even if you repeat the subject, the fail grade will remain on your record. Your Grade Point Average (GPA) will reflect both grades ie. Fails and Passes or above grades.

However, if the Fail grade is a result of unavoidable disruption you may wish to submit a request to withdraw without academic or financial penalty.
