Am I eligible for support from the Accessibility Service?

Answer:

You need to provide recent evidence from a health professional that you have a disability, chronic medical condition or injury that impacts on your ability to study. 
The services that will be recommended and implemented are determined following your assessment interview.

The following list contains some examples of  disabilities and health conditions eligible for support from the Accessibility Service:

  • vision impairment
  • hearing impaired
  • deaf 
  • speech impairments 
  • physical
  • mental health 
  • learning disability 
  • temporary disability/Injury 
  • chronic medical conditions 
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

Services and support can take some time to put in place and students are encouraged to meet with the Accessibility Service as soon as possible.
