Your unit outline should tell you which referencing style to use. If you are unsure, you should ask your tutor or lecturer. 

The most common referencing styles used at Macquarie University are:

  • The Harvard System 
  • APA 
  • MLA
  • Oxford 
  • Chicago
  • AGLC (legal referencing)
