I have a disability and need help to take my exams. What should I do?

Question:

I have a disability and need help to take my exams. What should I do?

Answer:

The Disability Service is able to provide a range of adjustments based on supporting documentation, information provided during the assessment interview and feedback from course convenors and other academic staff members. As services delivered are based upon the student's individual needs, the recommended support services can vary from student to student in terms of intensity, variety and frequency. To access these supports, students are encouraged to register as soon as possible, to ensure adjustments are in place.

In order to register you need to have your supporting documentation (specialist’s report or Health Practitioner’s Report (HPR)) ready to upload. Your health practitioner can complete the HPR found at the link below.

 1.       Go to https://students.mq.edu.au/support/wellbeing/diversity-and-inclusion/accessibility-support

2.       Click on ‘Registration steps in detail’ and select “Registration form”

3.       Log-in with your student OneID.

4.       Follow the prompts and attach your documentation.

After you have registered, a member of the Disability Service will be in contact with you within 2 business days to confirm registration and to book your disability assessment.
