Can I get excluded from the University?

Question:

Can I get excluded from the University?

Answer:

Students can be excluded for not meeting Academic Progression requirements, not meeting currency requirements from external accreditation bodies or not meeting professional program requirements.

If you are excluded under Academic Progression you are not permitted to undertake any load at Macquarie University for two years. To return to your studies you will need to apply for re-entry to their degree via the appropriate method. Academic Standing will be reset to ‘Satisfactory’ upon re-entry to the University.

Students excluded under currency requirements are permanently excluded from their program of study. They are able to undertake studies in a different program, provided they are eligible for entry into that program.

Students excluded for failure to meet professional requirements are permanently excluded from their program of study. They are able to undertake studies in a different program, provided they are eligible for entry into that program.
